Special Announcement
Dear Friends,
Life is full of changes, and we are so thankful that God is in control. We want to let you know that Cindy Seay has retired. Cindy has been an integral part of the ministry of New Life for 26 years and we will miss her greatly.
Following is Cindy’s letter:
Dear Friends,
Being a part of the team at New Life for the past 26 years has been a true gift from God. It is humbling to think that God would use me, as a part of this team with Sara and Susan, to further His purposes for birth parents, children and families. There is, in my opinion, no greater honor. Thank you for allowing me to serve you through this ministry over all of these years.
In December, my husband and I were in a car accident. I suffered a concussion that led to a three month medical leave. Some of the symptoms made it impossible for me to continue working. It has been a season of quiet time with the Lord.
After much prayer and waiting before the Lord, God has shown me that it is time to bring my career and my time with New Life to an end. As the years have passed, I have often told friends and family that I loved my job so much that I hoped I would just transition from New Life to Heaven. I could not imagine my life apart from New Life. But God has made it incredibly clear that is time to retire and has given me a confident peace.
I want to thank Sara and the Board of Directors for allowing me this time for healing and recovery. I had so hoped that I would be strong and ready to return to work after these 3 months. But that is not the case. I am seeing many signs of improvement, but not to the point that I could give what would be needed to fulfill my role at New Life. Therefore, I have submitted to Sara and the Board my Letter of Retirement.
This has been a difficult journey because of my love of the job and my love for each of you that has crossed my path over these many years. I have been blessed to know each of you, to love you and to be a part of some very special moments in your lives. Thank you for that privilege!
God’s purposes are clear as He uses New Life Adoptions to love and minister to birth parents and families and to place babies in Christian homes. New Life is indeed a special place that God has blessed with a passionate mission for LIFE. I am truly blessed to have been a part of this mission.
